Can I have the same cleaner each week?
Generally, yes, but your cleaner will sometimes be unwell or take a holiday, in which case Stayclean will provide a replacement cleaner, who will carry out the same duties until your regular cleaner returns.

I work during the day, so can the cleaner have a key?
Most of our cleaners are key-holders.

How do you screen your workers?
Initial contact is by telephone, and about 70% fail. The minority are interviewed, and we check their ID, and require proof of address (including a utility bill). We check two references.  There is a 1 hour cleaning trial, to check for standard of work.  Only a small proportion make it through the cleaning trial.  Stayclean provide a high standard of cleaning, because we want you to be satisfied with our service.

Do I have to have a weekly cleaner?
No, you can have one fortnightly or monthly, but the minimum cleaning time is 2½ hours.

Who provides the cleaning materials?
You do. Our cleaners will use whatever you provide.

What about a one-off clean?
Yes, we do undertake one-off cleans, and 'blitz' cleaning.  This generally requires more work than regular cleaning, takes longer, and so our charge is
somewhat higher.

If I decide to cancel, are there any penalties?
We require one month's notice in writing to cancel the contract..

What about when I go away on holiday?
You can arrange with your cleaner to do tasks that may not generally get done as part of our routine cleaning.  Or you can suspend your cleaning until your return.  Stayclean's fees are on-going as a retainer.

Do you have insurance?
Yes we do we have public liability insurance, and details are included with your contract when you sign up.

How do I know how many hours I need a cleaner for?
Good question.  Property sizes vary, so when you are sure a cleaner is what you want, but are just unsure of the hours, a representative of Stayclean visits your home and advises you what would be best.  We take into consideration the size of each room you want cleaned, and whether you will require ironing in that time.

I have a cat and dog.  Will that be a problem? 
No.  We check all details when allocating you a cleaner, so that you get someone who is compatible.
